Hello everyone! I recently bought a logitech R-RB5 cordless presenter and I'm trying to connect it to my laptop (Samsung RC730 with Windows 7 Home Premium).

When I plug it in and turn it on, nothing happens and furthermore when I go to the device manager I can't find the 'Human Interface Devices' tab (even if I have the show hidden folder options). I tried downloading the Connection Utility and and running LogibindP.exe and it tells me that my device is not connected and/or not turned on (when I did both). However, when I try it on my friend's HP laptop it works as soon as I plug it in, and same with my dell desktop computer. Thanks for your help! Gigabyte 12dc1-10ip35s-113r Drivers.

Raj Edited by rajkk1, 20 September 2014 - 11:56 AM. Hello rajkk1 The device is plug and play and did not require any specific drivers for XP back in the days when it was first released but can I ask what OS your friend has on the HP notebook on which the pointer does work.

Please understand that I am not familiar with the pointing device concerned but I do have the following suggestion/s; Uninstall all of the Logitech software that you have downloaded. Disconnect/remove the presenters receiver from the computers USB port. Do a fresh download of the software and save it to the desktop. Restart the computer in Safe Mode (without Networking). Install the software for the presenter and only insert the USB receiver if prompted to do so by an on screen message, if no on screen message, shut down the computer as you normally would. Connect the USB receiver and restart the computer. Check to see if the two devices pair automatically, if not press the reset button and test.

Good luck and let us know how it goes. Thanks for the reply phillpower2!

Here is a little bit more info • The other notebooks and desktops on which the pointer worked had the same operating system. • On the samsung, the software never installed in the first place (neither automatically, nor could I install it using the software as I detailed above). • I tried what you suggested (installing it in safe mode) using the exact steps that you wrote, but again, nothing happened when I plugged in the device, even after resetting it, and again logibindP.exe gave me the same message when I ran it. Any ideas are always welcome.

Thanks again!
