Aperture Software For Mac

Does not work on Yosemite or El Capitan OS since Aperture was replaced by Photos App. Starting with OS X Yosemite v10.10.3, your Mac now includes the Photos app.

In Apple Aperture 3 for Mac can i be able to PhotoStitch Photos in the Apple Aperture 3 Software? Or can it do PhotoStitching is what I mean? I Bought a 24inch Apple iMac Computer 1 Year ago & i did not get Apple Aperture 3 in My iMac cause i did not choose it i'm thinking of getting it but not for $200 i can get it cheaper on ebay.com cause i'm tight with money at the moment so please tell me what it can do? Also I have a Canon PowerShot A2100 IS Digital Camera will it work on Apple Aperture 3? Or What kind of Software can i use?

Please help me, From Byron Monday July 27th 2009, I Bought A 24inch Apple iMac Computer @ The Apple Store, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Microsoft S*cks Posted on Jul 6, 2010 8:22 PM. Does your camera allow you to shoot in Panorama mode? I have a Canon and when I choose that, I can shoot several pictures in a row. Canon supplies the software called Stitch Assist which works on a Mac and it works like a charm. So you have to check if your camera has that capability; if it doesn't, then check out the doubletake as suggested.

Aperture will not do any stitch assist; it is only for adjusting photo colors, digitally enhancing, etc. And, be very careful buying something like that on ebay: a great percentage is pirated/fake/illegal - only buy it if it is advertised as a new, still factory shrinkwrapped package. There are several sellers right now who advertise a full version, but only email you a fake/illegal serial number. Edit: And you don't have to worry about your camera working with Aperture or the Mac - most pictures are in.jpg format. The easiest way is to put the memory card in a USB card reader and using that to transfer the pictures to your computer (saves camera battery wear). I always do that; as soon as I plug in the card reader, I get the icon on the desktop and then pick which pictures I want to keep (drag onto desktop) or throw away. If you temporarily drag them to the desktop, you can then decide which application you want to use (Aperture, iPhoto, or whatever) to adjust colors or whatever.

I checked through your camera's specs and did not see anything about shooting in Panorama mode - if your camera has it, it would be in the manual. It would also have a special setting; if you choose that, you can shoot several pictures in a row and then, with the software Photostitch, put them together into a panorama like picture on your computer. But the point is mute if your camera doesn't have it. As far as I know, Adobe Photoshop Elements doesn't do photo stitching either - I believe the DoubleTake suggested earlier is the only one I've heard of besides the Canon software which will only work with certain Canon camera models. If you want a good and reasonable software that'll do a lot of things except photo stitching, Graphic Converter is a good choice.

I agree it would be a great idea to include photo stitching - it could be included in iPhoto as well. Why don't you suggest that to Apple? Here is the link to the feedback page where you can send Apple that suggestion: Jul 6, 2010 10:39 PM. I checked the link - it appears to be ok to use with a Mac because they have a Mac version.

Remember though that this is open source software which means anybody in the world (with the know how) can modify it at any time, but that doesn't make it bad necessarily. I don't know anything about this software, so I can't comment on it. I don't need it because my Canon camera has the Panorama mode (official title: stitch assist mode) and the Photostitch software to go with it, so I've been stitching photos together for some time. Here is a link to my camera model - scroll down to shooting specifications and you will see the 'stitch assist': Jul 6, 2010 11:43 PM.
